Pleated blinds / Duo pleated blinds
Do I need to measure accurately? Our pleated blinds are custom made and work best with the most accurate specifications.
Please measure as accurately as possible and use a folding rule or metal tape measure, not a cloth tape measure.
Notes:When installing honeycomb pleated blinds, a distance of minimum 15mm recommended between the pleated blind and the glass pane. For a width of over 1250mm we recommend the VcS1 model, as in individual cases, slight sagging may occur with the VcS2 model.
Sonnenschutz Riese® assumes no liability for any damage caused by incorrect assembly.
For pleated blinds of 1201mm or more, 2 operating handles are mounted per rail.

Before attaching the operating handle to the pleated rail, turn the screw deep into the handle.
Now mount the new operating handle on the rail. The transparent operating handle can be snapped into different angles.
Place the operating rod on the handle and turn it slightly to the right. This locks the rod and you can control the pleated blind as desired.

General information
Please open and close the pleated blinds at regular intervals to maintain the pleated structure of the fabric.Clamp bracket mounting
Using this popular type of drill-free installation, the clamp brackets are attached at the top and bottom of the open window sash. Please note that the clamp bracket installation is not suitable for all wooden windows, as they have no circumferential rubber seal and therefore the clamp brackets have no grip. The clamp bracket can be used for window thicknesses of 5 - 24mm with circumferential rubber seal. For the installation above and below the window sash you need 15mm space each so the window including the mounted clamp carriers can still be opened and closed.Suitable for:
✓ Plastic windows
✓ Aluminium windows
✓ Wooden windows with circumferential rubber seal
Not suitable for:
✘ Flush windows
✘ Wooden windows without seal
✘ Rounded window frames

Glazing bead installation
Attachment to the narrow strip directly in front of the glass - also called glazing bead or window rebate - is the classic and at the same time the most popular method of attachment. The pleated blind is fixed at the top and bottom directly in front of the window glass. Please note that the glass strip should have a depth of at least 15mm and a maximum bevel of 15°! Please make sure that the distance between the window and the pleated blind is at least 15mm to prevent heat accumulation.Suitable for:
✓ Plastic windows
✓ Aluminium windows
✓ Wooden windows
Not suitable for:
✘ Windows without glazing bead

Please make sure that the distance between the window and the pleated blind is at least 15mm to prevent heat accumulation.Suitable for:
